Message From the Captain
My father Captain George Miller has spent his entire life on the water, including time in the U.S. Navy serving aboard our nation’s finest military vessels and 20+ years with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He began Beyond the Sea Memorial Services in 2007, and with it, his goal was always to provide personal closure for you and your family with a dignified and respectful memorial at sea for your loved one.
As his time came to retire in 2022, I have the privilege to carry on his legacy. It is my honor to follow in his footsteps and share his passion for being on the water.
As a captain’s son, I was motivated to get my own captain’s license in 2009. Since then, I have gained experience in boating and boating safety from small to luxury yachts, tour boats, and fishing charter boats. I like to say I have been taught by the best.
And now, I am committed to providing a memorable experience for you and your family that not only meets but exceeds your memorial at-sea expectations.

Beyond the Sea Memorial Services is not a fishing or dive boat, but a luxury yacht that is primarily used for burial services at sea. However, we do provide a vast array of other services, including chartered boating, whale watching, diving, fishing, and more. Please contact us for more information.

Meet Our Vessel
Our vessel, Something Special, is a 58-foot Hatteras Long Range Cruiser (LRC) that is built for luxury accommodations. It is outfitted with a fully enclosed salon and rear deck with wide open views that make this a truly one-of-a-kind yacht.
It’s a full triple-deck long-range model that features three luxury bedrooms and four restrooms for your comfort and convenience during the voyage. It also boasts of a control deck and an open rear control deck that provides excellent control centers.
It’s likewise equipped with top-of-the-line amenities including comfortable furnishings, carpeted interior floors, refrigerator, and cable / satellite-connected colored TV for you and your company’s added entertainment.
You can rest assured that everything outside and inside the vessel has been inspected and passed all the required safety regulation inspection tests.
